Dawn Butler

Dawn Butler was born and raised in East London to Jamaican parents. She was inspired to enter politics because of a deep-rooted commitment to ending injustice and bringing a sense of community back to Britain’s streets.

Dawn was elected as the MP for Brent South on 5 May 2005 and her maiden speech described her constituency as a “shining example of integration at its best”. Dawn later became the first elected African-Caribbean woman to become a Government Minister in the UK.

Today Dawn regularly calls out the Government for lying and keeps her followers informed of important and unjust developments in the House of Commons.

Claire Coutinho

Claire Coutinho is the energy security and net zero secretary, one of the top jobs in government. The East Surrey MP who was only elected to parliament in December 2019, is seen as a rising star of the Tory party.

The daughter of two doctors, Claire began her career at Merrill Lynch before leaving the City for a career in social justice policy.

Today, Claire’s priorities include fixing the roads, supporting the local economy, and protecting the environment.

Caroline Lucas

Caroline was first elected as Member of Parliament for Brighton Pavilion in 2010. She served as leader of the Green Party of England and Wales from 2008 to 2012, and Co-leader from 2016 to 2018.

As an MP, Caroline has sat on Parliament’s influential Environmental Audit Committee and has also sat on temporary committees set up to scrutinise Government legislation.

The author of several books, including Another England, Caroline has dedicated her life to making the UK greener and more sustainable.

Jess Phillips

Jess Phillips became an MP during the 2015 General Election and was appointed a Shadow Home Office Minister in April 2020. She resigned in November 2023 when she opposed her party’s position and voted for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Before becoming an MP Jess spent her entire career working for charities and community groups including at Women's Aid, as a business development manager.

A proud feminist, Jess regularly calls out gender bias in Parliament and constantly draws attention to the rising levels of male violence against women.

Zarah was elected in December 2019 having first got involved in political campaigns on issues from Free Education to anti-racism while at university.

Zarah became a community organiser for Labour in the West Midlands, helping to organise community campaigns against the closure of public services and seeing first-hand the devastating effects of a decade of cuts and stagnating wages.

In recent months, Zarah has become a leading voice on the worsening situation in Gaza, demanding a ceasefire and holding our leaders to account.
