Book Club: Lysistrata by Aristophanes
Book Club: Lysistrata by Aristophanes
7:00pm, Wednesday 13th of November, London
A chance to meet Trouble members and dive deep into a brilliant book over food and nibbles. Lysistrata is a comedy written by the ancient Greek playwright Aristophanes, about a sex strike by the women of Greece to force their husbands to end the war.
With its risqué humour, vibrant battle of the sexes, and themes of war and peace, Lysistrata remains as thought-provoking today as it would have been in Classical Athens.
While there will be a Trouble host present to guide the conversation, we want to know your thoughts! Come along with your likes, dislikes and opinions on the book.
Grab your copy of Lysistrata here!
